About the Pastor

Leathia M. Pinder  is a native of Newport News, VA. She is the daughter of Ernest and Janet Marie Hayes, (both deceased). Leathia is the youngest of ten children: her siblings: Lawrence, Ernest, Alice, Vera, Michael (deceased),Cheryl, Maureen, Ernest, Jr. and Arthur.

Leathia's Christian life began as a child being taken to church by her grandparents William and Antionette Darden (both deceased) every summer when visiting in North   Carolina.  As   she   began   to   grow   up   she   and   others   took   notice   of   the wonderful gifts that God had placed inside of her and through life’s trials and tribulations she drew closer to Him, that being her only means of true inner-peace. She was baptized for a second time in her late twenties and decided to follow Jesus Christ and her calling from the Lord.

Leathia’s Spiritual Journey led her to serve in ministries at Rhema Christian Centerin Hampton, VA. Upon moving to Maryland, she started to  attend  Solid   Rock Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Joseph H. Thomaswhere  she  faithfully  attended  and   sang  in   the  choir  from  1994  to   2001.  After relocating within the city, she became a faithful member, choir member and Praise and Worship leader at Fort Foote Baptist Church from 2001 until 2013 under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Lyles. Leathia was then assigned the duties of Minister of  Outreach and Evangelism at Kingdom Covenant  Christian   Center  under the leadership   of   Rev.   Loyce   Craft   in   Springfield,   VA.   Leathia   has   also   been facilitating a Thursday night prayer call since 2014 with the Rev. Annie Smith.

Leathia’s bible education, outside of church and personal studies was in 2009 when she attended Evangel Cathedral Bible School in Upper Marlboro, MD with studies focusing  on  Christian  Counseling   and  other  biblical  studies.  In 2009,  she  also attended New Life Community School of Ministry and Bible Institute (NLCSMBI)in Suitland Maryland (Associates Program) under the leadership   of Bishop Dr. Joseph H. Thomas.

Leathia’s   ministry   objective   is   for   God   alone   to   be   glorified.   Because   of   this objective, she longs to preach the gospel, apply God’s word, and love His people. Christ has accomplished all and justified her; therefore, she lives for Him out of gratitude for His finished work in satisfying God’s wrath and sealing her salvation. Leathia will do whatever is allowed by God to reach others with the gospel and to cultivate growth in them to maturity in Christ. Furthermore, she seeks to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. “Everyone has a ministry” is the mentality all Christians   must   possess.   Finally,   Leathia   believes   in   the   Birth,   Death   and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. She also believes that evangelists are who we are as Christians; meaning that evangelism is more than just something we participate inonce a week, month, year, or lifetime. Rather, we should participate in evangelism on a daily basis as we take the name of Jesus with us throughout the earth. Leathia also loves to sing and travel with family and friends as she spread the Gospel here and abroad.

God has blessed Leathia with a loving family and a host of friends that serve in the same   respect.   She   and   her   husband  Anthony   work   together   in   the   ministry, spreading   the  Gospel   of   Jesus   Christ.   They   are  the   proud   parents   of  Antonio, Antoine’, Letitia, Tiffany, Antionette and Anthony, Jr (A.J.). They are also loved and   adored  by   their   beautiful   grandchildren   KaNya,   Nichele,   Semara,   Keonta, Antoine, Jr. and Anthony Jeremiah. Above all things, Leathia M. Pinder is an anointed woman of God gives GLORY to God in ALL things. Preaching, teaching and praying is her way of carrying out the Great Commision of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ
